Some people have asked where I have been. I appreciate the concern. To be honest, it’s just been a busy month or so. What with taking care of Piper and the litany of chores, I simply haven’t had time to write. Or at least not the way I want to write. I tend to be a perfectionist and don’t like to half-ass things. So maybe some of it was an I’ll-just-take-my-ball-and-go-home kind of attitude.
At any rate, now we are on the cusp of a whole new situation (or silly-ation, as Piper would say). She is in preschool now; today is her second day. I’ll get more into that in later posts. Although school will be part-time, that opens up a whole new myriad of possibilities for me. A new schedule means a whole new ballgame. So in anticipation of this new silly-ation, maybe it’s time for a reboot of the blog. Five Things 2.0, if you will.
What does this mean? Nothing really. Just more inane blathering. Maybe a little less parenting talk, as I focus more on writing and doing something with my life. So: writing, creativity, complaining, parenting, and more. And as always, I will be trying to do five things at once.
Are you still alive?
Technically, yes. For now.
Where have you been?
What have you been doing?
Also classified. And boring.
What are you going to do now?
In my free time I will be working on my novel.
Really? What’s it about?
Let’s just say it’s about the apocalypse. A certain kind of apocalypse.
What are you reading?
The Hunger Games series. I’m on the second one now. It’s good times.
What’s going on these days?
Well, Piper has started school, as I mentioned above. That’s the biggest thing going on now. Oh, and apparently I have failed to raise my personal debt ceiling.
